John Brownell Leroy has a real knack for writing anthemic, rocking, Indie rock tracks. At various moments on this EP I hear hints of Guided by Voices, The Strokes, Green Day, but always with that peculiar Leroy flavor. Already so good, cannot wait to see what he does next! Favorite track: Face the Days.

Here we are again Here we go again Running over the same old lines Shifting positions, emptying our cups Trying to break up the monotony of time Say goodbye my friend To the best of the good old days Take a deep breath in Exhale the past and fall into Life Automatic Say hello to your lost voice It's out there screaming in the night Say hello to every feeling That wasn't enough to make you feel alright Open your heart and scream out Whoa Hold on tight until forever Because I'm afraid that you'll let go Say goodbye my friend To the best of the good old days Take a deep breath in Exhale the past and fall into Life Put a candle in the window So I can find my way back home I'll be gone a long, long while And I'll be all alone Tie a ribbon round your finger When you see it think of me I need you to hold together Falling apart this time would be the end of me Say goodbye my friend To the best of the good old days Take a deep breath in Exhale the past and fall into Life Automatic Life Automatic

Feelin like a rebel in a Field of wildflowers Lost in my own element I wonder where I could've been My best foot is forward and Two steps back to the problem I'm beginning to realize that I am My own worst enemy So I wake up to cry a little harder Get out of bed and face the days Full of regrets that just won't wait Wake up to die a little faster Starting to believe in the things that might have been But it's a little bit too late There will be no enjoyment today You'll miss out on all of the fun Let my habits get the best of me I cannot drown them out Blow sarcastic kisses toward your past Betray and toss away because you can Not invited, I'm the one left out No surprise I went that route Yeah, I'll wake up to cry a little harder Get out of bed and face the days Full of regrets that just won't wait Wake up to die a little faster Starting to believe in the things that might have been But it's a little bit too late

I'll take the dreary weather Enough rain for the flowers to grow Sometimes the clouds overtake me Eyes are losing sight of the road Bring on the dreary weather A change of pace would do me good Time lapse and all is forgotten Seasons changing remind me I should Isn't it funny once you've found, once you've found You'll swallow the rain until you drown Yeah, Isn't it funny once you've found, once you've found You'll swallow the rain until you drown Sunshine and gloomy weather It doesn't matter what the sky's gonna do Bundled up and sweating out bullets Remind myself there's nothing to prove Isn't it funny once you've found, once you've found You'll swallow the rain until you drown Yeah, Isn't it funny once you've found, once you've found You'll swallow the rain until you drown

Ephemeral 03:16

about

1nfinite Now crafted their guitar-forward second release, Life Automatic under a cloud of isolation and existential crises. Utilizing songwriting as a means of survival, tracks such as, "Face the Days," confront the concept of identity while inner demons attempt to take hold. The title track, "Life Automatic," reflects on a past lamented while looking toward a future not yet promised. The song "'Til You Drown," revisits the more power pop inspired sound from 1nfinite Now's Drag Bunt Records release, Delayed 1nstinct, but the lyrics suggest a songwriter fraught with dissatisfaction attempting to find a silver lining. The closing track, "Ephemeral," is an onslaught of loud-quiet-loud that comes and goes in waves.
